At Find Stout, we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Find Stout mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We aim to collect as little data as possible. Find Stout does not require a user account, registration, name, or email address to function.

• Location Information: We collect and process your precise GPS location while you are using the app to show you nearby outlets serving Guinness and to calculate your distance to those outlets. This location data is processed locally on your device and is never linked to your identity or stored on our servers.
• User Feedback and Price Estimates: When you submit feedback, the report and outlet ID are sent to our database together with the submission time, public IP address observed by our server, country inferred from that IP, an app-specific device identifier, device and operating-system description, and app version/build.
• Device Identifier: The app creates a random identifier for that app installation. It is used to correlate repeated feedback and prevent abuse. It is not an advertising identifier, hardware serial number, IMEI, or account identifier.
• Diagnostic Data: We may collect anonymous crash logs and performance analytics to help troubleshoot issues and improve app stability.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected data solely to:

• Display nearby outlets and calculate relative distances.
• Update outlet operating details, prices, and availability flags based on user feedback.
• Review where and when feedback was submitted, detect duplicate or abusive reports, and troubleshoot submission problems.
• Improve application functionality, performance, and reliability.

3. Data Retention and Security

Precise GPS calculations occur in real time and are not stored with feedback. Feedback and its trace data are retained with moderation history while needed to review outlet accuracy, investigate abuse, and maintain service integrity. IP-to-country lookup is performed at submission time through Country.is. Trace data is not used for advertising, cross-app tracking, or sale to third parties.

4. Children's Privacy

Find Stout is designed for adults of legal drinking age in their respective regions. We do not knowingly collect feedback from children.
